The foyer went down without a fight, which, in hindsight gave us false hope about what was to come.
The hallways were an up and down battle. One was a TKO, the other, not so much.
The kitchen played dirty. It took us four days of scoring, peeling, spraying, scraping, and sighing for it to all come down.
And the least formidable foe at first glance turned into a battle that we had to forfeit.
All in all, the house came with seven rooms with wallpaper. The end score? Us, 4, Wallpaper, 3. We're quitting while we are ahead and are leaving the bathrooms and the guest bedroom (wallpaper border) as-is. I see a nice, heavy coat of primer in their futures..
Jon had the best quote to sum it all up - "We won the battle, but wallpaper won the war."
